[edit] Problemo

On the messgae for Podcast 21A, is it a typo as the last on was 11A. So shouldn't it be 12A or maybe not? ~ Tdlicrfth1471

Since I don't work with TMBG, I have no idea. We will know whether it was a typo or not when the podcast is released. Until then, it should stay in the news the way they wrote it regardless of whether or not it was a typo. :) -CapitalQ / @ / 18:27, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks ~ Tdlicrfth1471

[edit] TMBG tape

Do you actually own the tmbg tape that appears on your user picture? O.O--Fasterthanyou 05:30, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Indeed I do! :) Bought it on eBay a while ago. -CapitalQ / @ / 20:10, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Moving pages

Was I given some admin powers? All of a sudden I can move pages.--tehbagel ( o ) 21:38, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Anyone's allowed to rename/move pages, even on Wikipedia. -CapitalQ / @ / 21:39, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
I feel smart.--tehbagel ( o ) 21:39, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] If honesty was beautifully told, we'd try to save the ice cube from the cold

From what I can see of your recent tracks (last.fm is blocked on my computer), I don't know if you've found out, but friggin' We Were Dead has been leaked! Modest Mouse insano-panic! Just felt like it was my civic duty to let you know :D ~ magbatz 03:23, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, been listening to it for a couple of hours now. Got it before it hit the BT trackers. :) I still plan to purchase the CD on March 20, of course. Excellent album. :D -CapitalQ / @ / 03:26, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
True dat, man. Though how'd you get it before it was torrent'ed? Do you personally know Isaac's mom or something?
Maaaaybe. -CapitalQ / @ / 03:54, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Greeting from LyricWiki

I was cleaning up our TMBG page (adding pics and such) when I linked to this site and discovered you added my Particle Man SOTD to the news section! Whoa! Thanks for the link to our site (well, not my site, but I am an admin) and feel free to come by and add your 2 cents here and there if you'd like. Since you added the newsbit, does that mean that you already have a LyricWiki account? I'm also going to add a nomination for Experimental Film as well (when it came out my toddler daughter was completely fascinated by the song and video), so that'll be in a week or so. Thanks again! --Kiefer14:12, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Hey, maybe we could add Mono Puff to Lyricwiki. And even John Linnell. Plus bunches of misc. tmbg. :D --Luke 14:43, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] thank you

thanks capitalQ, ive got to ask, what does the "Q" stand for? anyway, like i was saying thank you and keep up your great work on this site, you're my hero! Jade

[edit] Re: Man or Astroman?

Q - I saw Man or Astroman? open for TMBG at the 9:30 Club in D.C sometime in the early 2000s. I haven't pinned down yet which show, but I'll update the show info when I figure it out.

A: The show was in mid-April of 2000. Either April 14 or 15.

[edit] WBOR

Yeah, I do have a show and amazingly they had a promo copy of The Else. The album art was top-notch and I might be scanning it soon. (If I had a scanner...) All in all, it was a thrill holding it. However, it only had the original 13 tracks on it, no bonus material.--Mr.klaw 18:45, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, the lyric book thing has a couple of awesome pictures and the disc itself says "12th" on it. Next time I do my show (probably Saturday) I'll try to scan it somehow, maybe. I don't really have the resources IN the studio.--Mr.klaw 19:42, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Ok, I'l try. My next show is actually WEDNESDAY, so I'll do it then. No problem.--Mr.klaw 19:37, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, ok. There were a few minor edits I performed on Feign Amnesia and Bee Of The Bird Of The Moth. Check 'em out. (If you want). Thanks.--Mr.klaw 20:30, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

Have I told you how much I love you recently? ~ magbatz 22:26, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

Possibly. Also, what are you trying to do, scare that bonus disc dude away?! -CapitalQ / @ / 22:43, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
!ooB Have I told you how much I love you in a totally-better-than-magbatz-way? For so many reasons...:P --Luke 01:03, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Coraline Confirmation

Seen http://www.neilgaiman.com/journal, a little ways down today's entry. He states quite clearly that it was written for, and rejected by, the Coraline soundtrack. 64.142.15.135 04:19, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 1985 Tape

I posted about this a few minutes ago, without relaizing YOU bought the tape. I saw this on eBay, but couldn't buy it. Could you please consider posting MP3's from the tape on here for the fans? It would be a real treat WholeLottaMilka 02:58, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Omagosh, Q: Are you 18? Like, A MAN AND STUFF!?

Congrats!! ~Christina, who assumed you were a college kid, Wednes., September 19, 2007

Eheheh!! Yes! Thank you so much, Christina. I am a college kid, now. :DDD -CapitalQ / @ / 22:47, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Credits Crisis (response)

Well, the way I see it is since no one was creating the page, I'm creating a base page that anyone who actually owns the album can fix. Sure, it's probably not the most logical and practical method, but I was bored and I decided to contribute just a bit more and as much as I could to the wiki.

[edit] Appearances

Is there a consolidated place for random appearances by the band or the Johns to be listed? Just so I wouldn't have to sift through each date to find out when Flans was interviewed, or when Linnell wrote an article, etc. Could there be a section made for such a thing? - kayakcup

In response to your response, where would I put something like John Linnell's appearance in one of the 24 Hour Plays in 2006 as a mute accordionist? Maybe it's already been posted somewhere, I just don't know where to find something like that quickly if I wanted to get a list of all appearances made in all corners of the world that's not show or interview-related just by punching in one of the John's names.

[edit] Data dump

Is there any compact form in which one can download all of the song info here? I've been wanting to make a web gadget where you can mark off which records you have and the gadget will tell you which TMBG songs you've never heard (mostly for dealing with the piles of overlapping rarities in eMusic/McSweeney's/podcasts/They Got Lost...) but crawling all the song pages seems sort of sleazy, not to mention slow. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.236.126.81 (talkcontribs) 20:28, 28 January 2008

I don't believe we would be able to produce a compact version of our content like that, no. Sorry! -CapitalQ / @ / 20:39, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Completely saw you today.

I saw you at Columbus Circle. I'm that asian kid with the yellow duck shirt that asked about your shirt. It was pretty sweet to meet one of the admins. JasonDeLima 01:04, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

It was nice meeting you, too! Sorry that I was a little busy with friends. :] -CapitalQ / @ / 09:52, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Thanks for your answer about "Vilarditime". I was absolutely convinced that there was an anagram or something involved in Flansy's enigmatic inclusion on the set list. Apparently he just doesn't like spaces : )

[edit] Chord correction

Thanks for correcting my "Statue" chords. Dsus sounds a lot better!

[edit] Delete Template

Why did you delete my delete template? —The thing Talk 21:54, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

Well if an article is going to be deleted immediately, what need is there for a template? Just blank it, and be creative-- there's no better venue for general dicking around than in a page you mark for deletion. OR, maybe it was because when Q saw your delete template, he saw that it said the page should be deleted and assumed somebody had marked that the template's page should be deleted. Or did I just blow your mind. ~ magbatz 23:58, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
Mind blown. -CapitalQ / @ / 02:28, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
Magbatz' thinking is an anomaly rapped in hyperbole. It's delicious. --Luke 16:56, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] William Allen White

Can you please provide me with a PNG or a GIF of William Allen White, with his head cut out and a transparent background? Thanks! -JasonDeLima 19:20, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

Uh! I'm not sure if I have one hanging around, but I suppose I'll stay on the lookout for one. I'm not the image collector I used to be, sadly. -CapitalQ / @ / 20:37, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
Oh. Yeah I thought you would have one, hence that little one on the bottom of every page, which I can't click "Save Picture As.." I need one so I can hopefully get it on a custom snare drum, Photoshop doesn't work with well with trying to perfectly cut his neck off. But if you could find one or get one done, that would be fantastic. -JasonDeLima 01:48, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
Don't blame Photoshop; Photoshop can do anything if you know how to use it properly! How do you think we got his neck off? Anyway, the thumb on the bottom is from the encyclopedia image of WAW that TMBW has always been using, but it's not even the WAW photograph that TMBG uses in their music videos and such. I'd say maybe try taking a screen capture from a music video on Direct from Brooklyn (Don't Let's Start?) and working from that, if you can't find anything better via Googling. -CapitalQ / @ / 02:19, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
Oh I always blame programs for my faults. And yeah I know it's not the same the band uses. But that's actually a good idea to work from a screen capture from one of their DVDs. Thanks Q! -JasonDeLima 02:22, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
I have one that is cut out very well but it's rather small... how big do you need? --ant 02:29, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
Ant, send me whatever you have. Thanks! --JasonDeLima 22:22, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
