Trivia/Info

Performed at the breakneck tempo of "classic new wave", this song is the harangue of an embattled old-timer who refuses to yield the floor. Chorus: "I'm not done, and I won't be till my head falls off." Check out the rock power of bassist Graham Maby in the breakdown section.
“Till My Head Falls Off” is basically a live take of everyone playing the song as fast as they possibly can, which is certainly in the spirit of live rock recording. You’re genuinely listening to the band playing it. We basically just upped the tempo again and again, and that was the last tempo that anyone felt comfortable at. We tried another take right after that even faster and it just, like, blew up on the launch pad.
  • Appears in the Malcolm In The Middle Episode "Home Alone 4", when the boys are cleaning the house, then making it messy again.
  • When played live (as on Severe Tire Damage), the word "decrepit" is often used in place of "forgetful."
  • Actor Jake Goldsbie, who plays Toby in the Canadian TV show Degrassi, chose this song when asked which song best describes his life.
  • Radio advertisements in Pittsburgh for the Factory Showroom tour used the opening riff as background music.
  • Appears as the instrumental track in an unreleased Charlie and the Chocolate Factory remix entitled, “Chewing Gum is Really Gross,” created by Neil Cicierega under the band name Lemon Demon.
