This release was made available exclusively to members of the 2020 They Might Be Giants Instant Fan Club.
Information about some IFC material was originally unavailable on TMBW prior to 2024, but due to the availability of details about these projects elsewhere online, we will be cataloging them going forward in the spirit of remaining an accurate and complete TMBG knowledge base. Per the IFC oath, distributing or requesting IFC-exclusive content is still prohibited.
Secret Music Vol. 1 is a compilation album containing various tracks released in the 2019 and 2020 editions of the Instant Fan Club, as well as the Brooklyn Trio Sessions and ringtones made for the "Super Presidents" of the past installments of the IFC.
It was made available exclusively to members of the 2020 Instant Fan Club as a CD release, and later a download. A follow-up CD, Secret Music Vol. 2, was later released in September 2021 and also sent to members of the 2020 Instant Fan Club.

Trivia/Info[edit]
- The Brooklyn Trio Sessions recordings on the disc were remastered from the 2019 performance. The recording of "With The Dark" from that set was omitted from this release, likely due to its similarity to the Version One demo, the last track on this album.
- The "Super President Ringtone Super Pile" is a compilation of all the personalized ringtones recorded by They Might Be Giants for Super President members of the 2012 Instant Fan Club, while "Extra Ringtone Super Pile Annex" compiles a set of Super President ringtones released during the waiting period, alongside ringtones previously released through Wired Magazine and tmbg.com. In this release, each track is in a different order compared to their 2012 bundle release.
