I don't like either band enough to go digging for URLs myself, but I'm surprised that there's no links yet for the Rentals or REM.

The band 10¢ is listed on allmusic.com (as "10 cents"), but I don't know how much about the site, so I don't know if there's a way to get a static URL that will always point to that particular band's page, so hopefully someone smarter than me can provide a link.

A glaring omission: Jonathan Richman.

How about The Minus 5? Their first album was only available through the They Might Be Giants mailing list....


I don't really see why the wiki would need to include a caution that some songs by artists linked on this may contain explicit or adult-themed lyrics that would be inappropriate for children. I mean, we don't censor in any way songs with cussing or reference to inappropriate subjects in TMBG songs, so what reason is there to say that a few of the other bands listed have the possibility of having a song with a grown-up theme or profanity? ~ Magbatz 17:18, 27 Mar 2006 (CST)

I think it would be a good idea to make a rating system for the bands similar to the one on the "Mysterious Next Album" page...this way, if a particular band had a lot of + marks, they might be more likely to be appreciated by a TMBG fan. What does everyone think? --Martorano

Why was like half the content of this page deleted? I don't want to miss great acts like the REM, Beck or Ween on this list, all of which I would indeed recommend to fans of TMBG. Should this be reverted or did I miss something? - Whirrrlwind (Woosh!) 18:24, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

I'm not sure...you know...this brings up a good point though. What's the difference between this page and the Recommendation Grid? I think we should combine those two pages, and then let people make up their own minds. --Duke33 19:29, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Updating the style?

I was about to get rid of the border and make the header light orange, but then I realized that that could potentially suck. Reasons: This is not the only skin! Nonetheless, I think we should ditch the ugly border anyway. Any ideas how? (I already tried border-style=solid.)-J2
