Amanda Homi is a singer/songwriter of English and Indian descent, born in London and later living in New York City. She performs the "clanging" vocal effect of the bells on the They Might Be Giants track "The Bells Are Ringing."[1]
She is a prolific session musician who has collaborated with many musicians including Jackson Browne, Pete Seeger, and Ray Lamontagne.[2] She also performs in the VKB band, an all-female trio.[3] Her style of music can be seen as cosmopolitan, pulling from Indian, Spanish, and many more international influences.[4]
