an uncatchable criminal

a disgruntled investigator examines an abandoned store ("even the price is erased"), potentially filled with bodies (the nametags of the shady folks who came here are still there in some form). whatever the crime here was, it was committed by a strange man who loves true crime, collects lunch meat, sells jeeps, sells fishing supplies, and maybe also sells weed?? this man keeps doing this ("recall the duplicates of duplicates", remember the other times he did this?) and never getting caught. the crime scene offers no clue to his whereabouts, as everything has been scrubbed. the other officers are only an impediment to the investigator. my headcanon is that this is a shady store he shot up and robbed.
