Lyle Workman[1]

Lyle Workman is a film composer and session guitarist; a "guitar monster" who has been featured prominently on a few They Might Be Giants tracks. Namely, Workman performs solos on the Mono Puff track Oddball and the Factory Showroom track New York City. He is also featured on the The Else tracks The Cap'm and Bee Of The Bird Of The Moth.

Workman got his start in music by forming the band Bourgeois Tagg with Brent Bourgeois and Larry Tagg. Around the same time Workman began collaborating with TMBG, he was playing in Frank Black's backing band. Workman has also played with artists such as Todd Rundgren, Beck, and Sting.[2]

Workman is also a well known film composer, working on several blockbuster Judd Apatow films such as The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Superbad, and Forgetting Sarah Marshall.[3] He has also released his own set of "virtuosic" solo albums.
