You accidentally mixed the magic potion vials up and drank the one that slows reality down.
Until now, you never noticed the subtle interplay of colours and shapes all around you and the underlying harmonious randomness. You never realised how much the hideous architectural choices of the last 50 years have profaned and desecrated this world. In groping for the antidote, you accidentally swallowed even more of what is slowing down time. All of the coded expressions and gestures that used to be inscrutable are now transparent, and it's obvious what everyone is thinking and what they really mean. Hyperaware but unable or unwilling to express your newfound god-like knowledge, you sit atop a mountain and silently observe. You jump, you fall, continue to decelerate, secure in knowing at this rate, you'll never reach the ground. |
