Talk:Mainstream U.S.A.

From This Might Be A Wiki

BMI[edit]

On BMI's Repertoire Search, this song's legal title is listed as "MAINSTEAM USA". Cool. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pat (talkcontribs) 23:51, January 27, 2008‎

They should flip those guys the bird. --MisterMe (talk) 13:36, 6 September 2019 (EDT)

I might've not looked hard enough...[edit]

...But I didn't see any bad word on the lyrics for Mainstream USA. -- Buzzmusic100 ("Keep your voice down...")

I think "I flipped that guy the bird" constitutes a swear. -Apollo. 19:41, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

Do we have a scan of ICE Newsletter 1996?[edit]

Several TMBW pages reference an interview in "ICE Newsletter 1996".

Is there a scan on TMBW or elsewhere on the Interweb of the full interview?

(ICE = "International CD Exchange"). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Minimumwage (talkcontribs) 08:50, 5 May 2024‎

I haven't come across a full scan, though I see an eBay auction for a full 1996 set for around $40 shipped (from Germany) right now. Here's a scan of the front cover of the issue (via this blog post), and there is a transcription on alt.music.tmbg located here, which I imagine is where most of TMBW's quotes from the article came from. -CapitalQtalk ♪ 17:29, 5 May 2024 (EDT)
EDIT: Forgot that I brought over some of that article and the cover image to the Then: The Earlier Years page in 2020. We should really copy the whole article including the cover and track descriptions to a new page, following the format of others in Track-By-Track Guides. -CapitalQtalk ♪ 17:51, 5 May 2024 (EDT)
