"Everybody dies frustrated and sad, and that is beautiful..."

Hi, I'm Do Let's Stop, certified nerd & silly internet person & enjoyer of Them.

All credit to my dad for introducing me to TMBG when I was 8 by playing Birdhouse when we were in the car one time. Both him and my uncle were and still are fans (runs in the family?). I rediscovered Them and by march-ish 2022 the hyperfixation kicked in and the rest is history. I've probably got at least 2 other people into TMBG, which I classify as a win. You'll see that among my many listed favourite songs is Let Me Tell You About My Operation - which I relate to a LOT more now that I've had scoliosis surgery. I'm recovering slowly but surely - and I have something to look forward to - me and my family have tickets for the UK tour (They over here) in London!! So glad they're coming here!! (For real this time, in 2024. RIP to the 2023 tour that didn't happen)

Working on my trinity grade 8 exam for clarinet. I've had a go on bass clarinet, and it's very cool but very heavy! I can see why JL likes it. Maybe one day I'll get my hands on a 'Clippy' contra alto, so I can whack out that brilliant part in I Like Fun (Song). As for keyboard, I've never had lessons but I've learned about 25 They songs -just block chords w/melody just by referencing this site's very own helpful guitar tabs and listening to it and practicing a lot.

My TMBG collection consists of a LOT of t-shirts, the Flood socks, Flood+Apollo 18 pins, blue canary night light, the BOOK which is the BOOK of the album BOOK made into a BOOK, and 1 (one) vinyl (this generation and their spotify, yadda yadda....) One of my all time favourite parts of being in sixth form is that we can wear own clothes now, so a lot of TMBG t-shirt wearing is done by me on the regular.

Fun fact, I submitted a picture of soup that I made while listening to the 2023 They Might Be Playing They Might Be Giants 12-hour marathon. It was my second year listening, and who knows maybe next time I'll conveniently be sick on that school day. Also, I'm a big fan of XTC , which They are partly responsible for getting me into.

See you at TMBPTMBG, the Roundhouse show, on here, or wherever, Do Let's Stop

P.S John (either) if you're seeing this pls restock the here comes science DVD i may go insane without it
