Trivia/Info
- From tmbg.com: "Recorded as a part of They Might Be Giants first podcast, this song was originally recorded by the Banana Splits. The Banana Splits - Fleagle, Bingo, Drooper and Snorky - were most famous for their fine television show and "The Banana Splits Song (Tra La La). 'I Enjoy Being A Boy' is yet another fine piece of bubble-gum pop, and gets an electronic makeover from TMBG here."
- On at least one occasion, John Linnell broke out into a short solo rendition of this song during the instrumental break of "Doctor Worm."
- Otis Ball, whom TMBG "discovered" and helped get a record deal the year before, created his own version of "I Enjoy Being a Boy" in 1991.
- Possibly it was written as a rejoinder to the Rodgers and Hammerstein song "I Enjoy Being a Girl".
