Trivia/Info

  • Peggy Guggenheim (1898–1979) was an American art collector, patron and socialite, widely regarded as one of the most important collectors of modern art in the 20th century. She played a pivotal role in promoting avant-garde movements such as Abstract expressionism and Surrealism, and supported major artists including Jackson Pollock and Max Ernst. Guggenheim established influential galleries in both New York and Venice, and the latter is now the site of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection.
  • This song showcases the Tricerachops Horns, They Might Be Giants' three-piece horn section consisting of Dan Levine (trombones), Stan Harrison (saxophones), and Mark Pender (trumpet). In a January 5, 2026 newsletter, the band wrote of the track: "[The Eyeball EP includes] an instrumental called Peggy Guggenheim that spotlights the horn section blasting off and could complement most movie chase scenes."
  • John Flansburgh previewed a 45-second snippet of this song during an Instagram livestream on September 26, 2025, commenting:
Here's a song that's not on the new album. I wish it was. I don't know when it'll come out but it's a cool one. It has the horns all over it; baritone saxophone, bass trombone. I want to put that song out and give it to all independent filmmakers for free, for no license. I feel like they need more chase music in their movies and I feel like it's cinematic.
